What you’ll learn in this course

You will complete this program equipped with the nationally recognised skill requirements to plan for and provide medication assistance for your clients, including completion of medication documentation. Focus is on supporting a client to self-administer their medication. A dedicated work placement is part of our program to support and enable you to put into safe practice what you have learned. Two units of study make up this skill set which will provide credit towards other Health Training and Community Services Certificate IV and Diploma qualifications.

Our blended delivery program provides flexibility for students who may be working or have busy lives. Students work from home for pre-course readings and when working on some assignments. Your 2 days on campus will include classroom learning with fellow students and practical simulation where you will apply your new knowledge and skills to practical tasks under the guidance of your educator. Simulation learning is a powerful way to learn in an environment that reflects workplace conditions.
